And what a Friday this is!!We are moving along with solving Inequalities! Yippee... It is also Cuppie Cake Friday! Yippee.... It is also the last day for a week for you folks! Yippee....
In class we will celebrate the November Birthdays with a treat and then review the work on inequalities and answer any questions you may have. I will also give you your test grade, but I am going to keep the tests themselves for Monday on your return. This will give you no homework over your week off!!

Good Thursday Morning,
Now that we have the test from yesterday done, we are ready to move on? Well we are moving onward with another new concept, but still using all of the foundational skills we have been using all year. We are going to be solving INEQUALITIES. Very similar to equalities, but not!! Hee hee....
The test will be returned on Friday. Hope you all did well on it.
Homework: page 143 # 22- 30 solve and graph each

Today in math class we are taking a test over chapter 6.1-6.3, balancing equations. Come to class with any notes(flip books) you may want to use during the test. Take a deep breathe and think about EACH step.

In math class we are taking a brief quiz on balancing equations from drawings and word problems. After this we will be moving onward to Solving equations involving fractions and decimals. This will tie in all the review we did the beginning of the year, so hopefully, this will be a breeze.

In math class we are continuing on with balancing equations. Pulling out the math in word problems and setting them up as variable equations is pretty darn tough. How did you do?

We are getting really fancy with all the balancing though- combining like terms, using fractions, solving models and all of the rest. How are you doing on this? We are still going to be focusing on this as this is foundational in algebra.

Wow it is Wednesday! Good Wednesday morning to all,
Sorry about not having a blog up on Monday or Tuesday. It was nice getting a few comments on the lack of the blogs from you folks.
I was happy with the turnout on Whiteboard Tuesday. This extra help will continue on every Tuesday throughout the year. You may come for the whole time or just to get a questioned answered.
In class we are still working on solving 2 and more step equations!! In addition to balancing equations, using negative integers, fractions, we now are working with the Distributive Property( Double Multiplication). Are you getting the rhythm? From what I see and hear in class, it does seem that most of you are catching on. Let me know if not. We will continue to add onto the foundation we have now.
